Voices and Choices Features Ingenuity Festival Interview
Local, national and international artists
will participate in Cleveland's weekend-long celebration of art and
technology at the Ingenuity Festival, which features 300 performances
in 26 venues, staged in the center of Downtown Cleveland.
It's a multi-faceted artistic adventure.
Some of the performances are interactive, encouraging audience participation.
Night Lights, a play written by Dario D'Ambrosi, founding director of the Pathological Theatre Festival
in Rome and at La Mama in NYC, requires the audience attend by viewing
the piece while sitting in automobiles. It's a first-come first-served
to see this play from 14 cars equipped with 14 headphones.
Ian Charnas and Tesla
Orchestra present: Boltz. Tesla Orchestra is a theatrical performance
incorporating a 2-megavolt solid-state Tesla Coil. According to the
website description: " The Tesla Coil is a tower that emits bolts of lightning, and can be attached to an electronic keyboard and played like a piano. By rapidly expanding the air, the lightning bolts themselves actually produce music."
