At the end of April there were still donations pouring in,
and we did not break our record of "best telethon" until October when
we received a large check from an apologetic listener and reached $50,493.36
raised in total-breaking our 2006 record by $200!
All of the ordered premiums have been shipped and as
everyone prepares for the New Year, WRUW is preparing for our 2012 Telethon.
Please consider us in April as we begin to beg yet again. 2012 is an especially
important year for WRUW: it is our 45th birthday as a radio station and the
10th anniversary of our upgrade to being a 15,000 watt station.
Please contact us if you did not receive your premium from
the 2011 Telethon. If you have any comments or suggestions about why 2011 was
such a great year for WRUW, please email pr@wruw.org or telethon@wruw.org. If
you have any observations of things we could improve upon, or items that you'd
like to see available in 2012, do not hesitate to tell us. When we're not
talking on the radio, we're actually very good listeners!
